If I’m pretty will it be easier for me to get a job?

heavy machinery
Cybele asked:

My Mom said that it would be relatively easy for me to get a job as a waitress or fashion saleswoman because I’m pretty. My sister is pretty and has no problem getting work while a lot of other girls we know are still unemployed. Is this true? I’ve been operating heavy machinery for my past few summer jobs and am looking for something else. I’m a university student. I’m smart, and don’t mind working 60-70 hours a week

only if the person hiring you is attractive. Ugly people envy pretty people.

Studies have shown that attractive people get jobs easier, get better jobs, and receive higher pay. Face it, we as human beings like beauty and like to surround ourselves with it. So, if you are a beautiful girl, thank your lucky stars as this can only help you as you work to further your career.

Be sure not to rely solely on your good looks. Employers will expect you to back that up with skills and hard work.

If you are smart and a hard worker it shouldn’t matter how you look. Make up a resume, grab some interview skills on monster and give it a shot the worst that happens is you don’t get the job, but eventually the right job will come.
