Do you have a good chance getting deployed in the Army National Guard?
Tom H asked: I plan on joining with the MOS of General Construction Equipment.

Marines
Army
Navy
Air Force
You will get deployed plenty in all of them.
you will get deployed, can’t say when or where, but everyone gets deployed, and I know engineers are going quick, that’s my job right now, I volunteered to go, while I was gone my old unit was there, and shortly after I got back my current unit left, engineers are in great demand out there
ANYONE in the military has a chance of deploying. As someone with an MOS of 21E your chances are a little smaller but they are still there and it all depends on how much rebuilding is being done in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Percentage wise you are more likelyto deploy to an area such as Kosovo, El Salvador, or an area recently damaged due to a hurricane (if you live in one of those states. You are needed more where the Army is concentrating on rebuilding and humanitarian missions rather than combat. If you go to a place entrenched in combat they then have to also give security forces for you (military police, infantry, etc) to ensure safety where other areas they can use minimal security. Unfortunately, some engineers do get called upon to go to Iraq and Afghanistan but they don’t go into the heavy areas unless absolutey neccessary for Army missions.
sorry to tell you but ur not safe!! and ure gonna be a 21 something oh boy.
