in my marketing class we have to invent our own company and write a marketing plan about it, so I decided to open a construction company. But I have a couple of questions about it:
How long does it take to build a house?
How many people do I need?
How much do I need to pay them?
What kind of equipment do I need?
How much does the equipment cost and can I just rent it at first?
What resources do I need and how much do they cost?

I have a very low budget and I do not want to use heavy machinery.
I have used shovels, but then I get to very hard material. This material takes along time to excavate with a shovel.
I want to try methods like pouring water on the soil.

Fancy asked: I operate a machine (10 ft mill) and sculpt prototypes for a living. The job can be physically demanding, not to mention dangerous with obstacles on the floor to avoid. Bending, stretching, using heavy machinery, tools and working with polyurethane foam models and industrial modeling clay in the automotive industry. I wanted a month off before my due date and he wouldn’t sign a waiver for it. He said typically 2 weeks is the norm to leave for maternity leave. I am pretty much useless at work now, and they don’t have other things for me to do instead. He says he doesn’t want me to get fired. I know they wouldn’t do that. Why is he not giving up the paperwork? What can I do to convince him?

scary shari asked: There’s a huge construction site (buildings being torn down) that I drive by on my way to work, and it’s full of various heavy equipment. I’m fascinated by the excavators, because they remind me of giant, toothy “mouths” on the end of long arms. It’s also interesting to see how precisely they can chomp, lift and/or move things with their “jaws”. (I know, they’re actually called buckets, heads and/or attachments, but I like the metaphor of mouths and jaws. *grin*)
I was just curious how easy or difficult excavators are to operate? I’m guessing they’re more challenging than some pieces of construction equipment. Hopefully at least some folks here have experience using them. Thanks and have a great weekend! 
P.S. I’m not interested in operating one myself. I never even mastered driving a stick-shift car, if that tells you anything about my mechanical coordination! LOL! I’m just curious what it’s like to operate excavators.

I have heard that there is a good market in Mexico for older machinery due to the lack of current technology. I am interested in finding out more about this in order to find a new market, as well as use this for a chance to be able to visit Mexico and make monye at the same time. I constantly see Meicans towing older vehicles down the interstate to Mexico. I would also like to know what the equipment would bring there compared to here. If there are any other ideas as to what I could do to be able to visit the country and make money at the same time along these similar lines they would be greatly appreciated.

Her MOS is 21E: Heavy Construction Equipment Operator, and I would like to know if we have a chance of being stationed relatively close to one another. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Pastor L asked: During the last election cycle, people I know here in Iowa in BOTH major parties were threatening to vote opposite of their party if the calling continued. When I wrote a letter to the editor locally, people from other parts of the country said we had it mild here. Since my wife is a day sleeper who works heavy machinery and I’m subject 24/7 to emergency calls, this is more than an irritation. HELP.

The prisoners of war of the invading force would be forced to rebuild all the infrastructural damage they have caused.
At the same time, modern construction equipment is provided and good food, facilities and medical care is provided to the POW slaves.
But they would still be considered POWs for as long as necessary. Unless they get over the age of forty.
